Since as long as we can remember, humans have tried to find signs of extraterrestrial life. There are eight planets in the solar system, so it seems impossible that only one harbors life — Earth. But, although technology has advanced and improved, we remain the only living life form in the universe… as far as we know, at least.
From time to time, some inexplicable phenomena occurs, and even the most skeptical of us can’t help but wonder what the universe hides. Perhaps we’ll find the answer to this question soon. Maybe the response is right in front of us — in the Pentagon UFO videos.
In late April, the Pentagon released three videos that seemed to show unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs). The released footage shocked the world and proved to some conspiracy theorists that we weren’t alone after all.
What did the videos show? You’ll find the answer to this and more in our article.
How It All Started
Back in 2017, people were already aware of visual recordings of cockpit instrumentation displays from Navy fighter jets that showed pilots making contact with unidentified objects. However, the U.S. government never came clean about these videos. There were always some other plausible explanations served to the public.
According to certain theories, the footage was the result of instrument or software malfunction, interpretive error, or human observational illusion. Some said that the Pentagon UFO videos showed a common aircraft or aerial device. But, people weren’t convinced.
And an article published in the New York Times in 2017 was one of those aha moments for experts and readers who were sure that we weren’t alone in the universe.
The Pentagon’s Mysterious UFO Program
The New York Times’ article revealed a federally funded program whose main task was to investigate reports of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs). The Department of Defense (DoD) confirmed the existence of the program, which was run by Luis Elizondo, a military intelligence official. However, the DoD also said that it had dissolved the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) in 2012. Yet, some say that the AATIP is still in existence.
In fact, the New York Times stated that officials were still investigating strange encounters disclosed to them by service members. Nevertheless, they were reluctant to say that “unidentified” meant “extraterrestrial.”
For decades, the Air Force has repeatedly investigated UFOs in the United States. Just in 1947 alone officials looked at over 12,000 alleged UFO sightings, and it seems their investigation is far from over. Indeed, the government released the Pentagon UFO videos that astonished the whole world.
Let’s see what the footage showed.
The Pentagon UFO Videos
Earlier this year, the Pentagon published three UFO videos recorded by the Navy. One of them was shot in 2004 and the other two in 2015. These recordings had previously been released by To The Stars Academy of Arts & Sciences, a company that researches scientific phenomena. But, it was groundbreaking that the Pentagon decided to make these videos public.
These so-called Pentagon UFO videos show unidentified flying objects hurtling through the sky. Pilots can be heard reacting in awe at these objects. The reason behind their astonishment? UFOs were moving in ways that defied physics.
USS Nimitz UFO Incident
In 2004, an American fighter jet from the USS Nimitz reported an encounter with an unknown aerial object. David Fravor, a Navy pilot, was the commanding officer of the VFA-41 Black Aces, a squadron that was performing an exercise about 60 to 100 miles off the coast of San Diego at the time.
At one point, Fravor received an order to abandon the exercise in order to investigate an area some 60 miles west of his location. A radar operator told him there was some unidentified flying object that was flying at 80,000 feet and moving rapidly. Apparently, the object was able to descend from 80,000 feet to 20,000 feet quickly.
When Fravor arrived closer to the location, he saw something he described as “a white Tic Tac.” As David approached it, the object accelerated and disappeared in a flash.
Terrifying, right? Wait till you hear about the other two Pentagon UFO videos.
USS Theodore Roosevelt UFO Incidents
During 2014 and 2015, Navy pilots of the USS Theodore Roosevelt had reported seeing unidentified flying objects almost every day while they were training for a deployment to the Persian Gulf. The strange objects appeared in the skies over the East Coast.
Furthermore, Navy pilots said that the objects had no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes. However, they were able to reach 30,000 feet and hypersonic speeds. Lt. Ryan Graves revealed that these sightings would happen all day. And another pilot almost collided with one of the objects in late 2014. He had to file an official report.
Some of these incidents were recorded, including one taken in early 2015 that shows an object rapidly moving above the ocean. The pilots could be heard questioning what they were watching.
The government confirmed the authenticity of all three Pentagon UFO videos.
The Pentagon UFO Videos Will Shock Us for Years to Come
Our fascination with the unexplained will never go away. We always feel the need to research it and find answers to our questions. And the UFO phenomenon is perhaps one of the most pressing issues that we want to explore and resolve once and for all. After all, who doesn’t want to know whether worlds beyond our own exist?
For centuries, people have looked at the sky, trying to explain mysterious lights and objects they are seeing. Nevertheless, we haven’t gotten far. These sightings remain impossible to understand with our current knowledge and technology. Perhaps a breakthrough will happen soon that will help us respond to one of our most probing questions — are we alone in the universe?
